J2EE Programming

Overview

“Certificate in J2EE Programming” is an intensive program designed to rapidly learn J2EE. This course covers the use of J2EE working with real-world examples and exercises. The course focuses on Java Servlet programming and Java Server Pages along with the use of Database interfaces using MySQL, Error and Exception Handling, etc.

Pre-requisite Knowledge/Skills

• Participants should have undergone the course titled “J2SE Programming”.

Course Objective

Upon successful completion of the course, participants should be able to:

• Create Web Applications using Java Servlet
• Manage Web Session using Servlet and JSP
• Use JavaBeans in JSP
• Develop Custom Tags in JSP
• Handle Errors and Exceptions in Web Applications
• Use NetBeans IDE for creating J2EE Applications

• Module 4: Redirection and forwarding Handling Errors and Exceptions in Servlets
• Module 5: Working with Servlet Threads and Filters
• Module 6: Introduction to JSP
• Module 7: Using Java Beans in JSP
• Module 8: JSP and JDBC
• Module 9: JSP Error Handling Module 10: JSP Custom Tags
• Module 10: JSP Custom Tags

Project Work

Participants are required to undergo a Project Work as a part of the program. Project Work should be in accordance with the Project Specifications provided by ICT Academy in consultation with the industry. The Project work would be done in groups, with 4 or 5 participants in a group.
