Futurepreneur Grand Challenge

Futurepreneur Grand Challenge aims to encourage college students towards entrepreneurship by making them identify micro / tiny entrepreneurs across Tamil Nadu with exciting and inspiring backgrounds who have overcome odds and challenges to get their businesses running. The students will form as team to identify one or more entrepreneurs around your locality whom they will study, analyse and showcase in this Grand Challenge along with the entrepreneurs. This grand challenge aims at representing the mass entrepreneurs across sectors.

Examples of mass entrepreneurs

Woman entrepreneur running a small kitchen for home food delivery

Who can participate?

College students pursuing UG / PG in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry can join as a team to participate (Max. of 3 students per team).

Prize & Awards

Top three winning teams will be recognized and rewarded in the right platform

Cash Prize of INR 10,000 for the top 3 Winning Teams

Top 3 winning applications (youth teams + the entrepreneurs they represent) will be awarded at TiECONChennai 2020

They will be felicitated by successful entrepreneurs in the Chennai ecosystem

Evaluation

Evaluations will take place in two stages.

Stage 1

Preliminary Round – Scrutiny of online submissions by the Independent Jury to select the top 200 applications

Stage 2

Presentation Round – Presentation of the shortlisted 200 entries to the independent jury to identify the top 3 winners of the Challenge

Process

  • Maximum of 3 Students shall join as a team and register online. Once registered the team is called as a Student Futurepreneur team.
  • The Student Futurepreneur team shall explore, identify and represent one or more entrepreneurs across different sectors from around your locality.
  • The entrepreneurs identified by the team can be anyone with 1 to 20 employees and who run their businesses from their homes or any commercial place.
  • The team should submit details about the entrepreneur in the challenge website after detailed understanding about the background, business model, etc.,
  • Each team can bring as many applications/entrepreneurs as they choose to do.
  • The team shall develop an analysis about the entrepreneur and must showcase in the challenge

About TiE Chennai:
