About

The adoption of Industry 4.0 by Indian industries has started to take effect on the employability requirements across Industries. Disruptive technologies like Automation and Artificial Intelligence have the potential to eliminate low-skilled jobs, but that will only create much more opportunities for the prepared. The ability to work with data and make data-based decisions will play a major role in the jobs of the future. Employees are required to up-skill or re-skill and freshers are expected to be trained in these emerging technologies if they hope to land a fruitful career. To aid the women students in this, ICT Academy in association with Cognizant Foundation organizes the Tech4All program to train 5000 women students in advanced IT skills by establishing 50 Centres of Excellence for Women Empowerment (CWE) in engineering, arts and science colleges of Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Kerala.

This program comes under Cognizant Foundation's new Tech4All initiative, with strategic anchors i.e., inclusion and technology as an enabler, they envision an impactful flagship program for women by leveraging collective expertise through multi-stakeholder collaboration through this flagship program to empower women with relevant skill sets suitable for successful careers in IT.

Sessions will be organized for the students, inviting experts from the industry to convey the importance of employability skills in the job market.

Assessment, Certification & Placement Facilitation

An online assessment will be conducted after the training and certification by ICT Academy will be provided. An exclusive placement drive for students who successfully completed their certifications will be organized.

Expression of Interest for Institutional Partnership

Engineering, arts & science colleges located in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Kerala, which are educating women students can partner in this initiative. This initiative will benefit deserving women students in underserved communities with an annual household income of fewer than 5 lakhs. About Cognizant Foundation

Cognizant Foundation India is one of the channels of Cognizant's CSR initiatives in India. The Foundation works to better the lives of the underserved sections of society in the areas of Healthcare, Education and Livelihood. Its core focus is inclusion to promote equity. Cognizant Foundation launched its flagship program - Tech4All, to empower and skill persons with disabilities (PwDs) for jobs in technology and its enabled services.

Over the last 17 years, the Foundation has been dedicated to promoting a sustainable future and improving lives in underserved communities. It has adopted the cross-cutting theme of preventing disabilities and empowering such persons across healthcare, livelihood, and education. Since 2013, the Foundation has supported projects focused on skilling persons with disabilities and women and youth from underserved communities.

About ICT Academy

ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavours to train the higher education teachers and students thereby exercises on developing the next generation teachers and industry ready students.

ICT Academy was started to meet the skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment especially in tier 2 and 3 towns, the rural parts of the country.
