About

The fourth industrial revolution technologies are being adopted by multiple public sectors and private companies worldwide. Students as the future workforce, need to get skilled in these technologies and this has become a great challenge because of their region's affordability, access, and availability of infrastructure.

To train students from Arts, Science and Engineering colleges in employability skills that are crucial in industries today, Atos Prayas Foundation in association with ICT Academy organizes the Youth Empowerment Program. This initiative will train students of higher education institutions across India in IT, KPO, BFSI, Retail, E-commerce and Logistics skill-related courses and facilitate employment opportunities.

Selection Criteria

Students who are +2 passed with no ATKT, Final year/Graduates pursuing any stream - B. Com, B.A, B.Sc. and/or Master's degree (No ATKT) from underprivileged communities under any one criterion mentioned below

  • Student with a family income less than INR 4.5 lakhs per annum
  • Students with single parents
  • Physically challenged students
  • Student supported by a guardian
  • First-generation graduates

Expression of interest for institutional partnership

Higher Education Institutions across India can partner in this initiative. This training program will be fully sponsored under the CSR initiative of the Atos Prayas Foundation and will be implemented by ICT Academy. For enquiries write to

ICT Academy

ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavours to train higher education teachers and students thereby exercising on developing the next generation teachers and industry-ready students

ICT Academy was started to meet the skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment, especially in tier 2 and 3 towns, the rural parts of the country. The organization was formed with representations from the State Government of Tamil Nadu, leading companies in the ICT industry and the National Association of Software Services Companies (NASSCOM) in India

Through its various initiatives, ICT Academy has been part of strengthening India's four important visions on Skill India, Digital India, Startup India, and Make in India
