The technologies of the fourth industrial revolution are being adopted globally by various public sectors and private companies. However, students—the future workforce—face significant challenges in gaining these skills due to issues related to affordability, access, and the availability of infrastructure in their regions.
To train the pre-final year youth and women students in advanced technology skills and prepare them for future work, Honeywell has partnered with ICT Academy to establish 19 Centres of Excellence for Women Empowerment and 19 Centres of Excellence for Youth Empowerment. Through the centre of excellence, 3,750 higher education students will be trained on advanced technologies such as cloud, big data, RPA, artificial intelligence, and machine learning and will be made industry-ready resources. The project aims to benefit the students of higher education institutions in Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Delhi NCR, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.
