ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the state Governments and Industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavours to train the higher education teachers and students thereby exercises on developing the next generation teachers and industry ready students.
ICT Academy was started to meet the skill requirements of the industry and generate more employment especially in tier 2 and 3 towns, the rural parts of the country. The organization was formed with representations from the State Government of Tamil Nadu, leading companies in the ICT industry and National Association of Software Services Companies (NASSCOM) in India.
ICT Academy is recently endorsed and recommended by NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India Aayog), the National Planning body of Government of India as one of the unique organization for dissemination and replication, which is aligned to the Skill India Vision of the Government of India.
Through its various initiatives, ICT Academy has been part of strengthening the India’s four important visions on Skill India, Digital India, Startup India and Make in India.
Reliance Capital Limited (RCL) in its endeavor to uplift the socio economic stature of the youth of the country with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR ) is to upskill graduating student youth and graduated youth. Reliance has planned the initiative to benefit 15000 youth for the next 3 years and thus looking to light up the lives of the underprivileged. RCFL and ICT Academy has inked an MOU to implement the CSR initiative in over 11 cities across India. ICT Academy through its Institutional tie ups for skilling youth is to train the final year student youth and the graduated youth to get them ready for employment. ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu the pioneer in the Skill Training Industry has taken the responsibility of skilling 4353 Youth in Financial Literacy and 720 rural women youth in Digital Literacy.
The demand for skilled youth in the employment industry is increasing as the percentage of youth not ready to be employable after graduation is increasing year on year. This scenario in the country is compelling such initiatives to be taken through Corporate Social Responsibility by the Corporate World. Reliance Capital Financial seeing abundant job opportunities available for the youth in Banking Financial & Insurance Industry and the necessity of rural women being digital literate has taken this initiative. The initiative is to light up the lives of thousands of youth and lift their lifestyle . ICT Academy takes privilege in joining hands with Reliance in this initiative of lighting up the lives of thousands of youth as part of its nation building exercise.
