Overview

This course provides students with hands on experience using Visual Studio to create dynamic websites with ASP.NET Web Forms and the .NET 4.0 Framework using C#. This course is bundled with walk-through examples, hands-on lab exercises and a project which enables the students to develop web based applications.

Pre-requisite Knowledge/Skills

  • Participants should have undergone the course titled “C# & ADO.Net Programming”.

Course Objective

Upon successful completion of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Explain how to create dynamic Web pages by using ASP.NET.
  • Configure an ASP.NET application by using .config files
  • Create a user interface on an ASP.NET page by using standard Web server controls.
  • Create a user control and a custom server control and add them to an ASP.NET page.
  • Able to create your own Website, enhanced by using Master pages and Themes.
  • Find and eliminate bugs in an ASP.NET application.
  • Display dynamic data from a data source by using ADO.Net and data binding.
  • Maintaining State management throughout the Application.
  • Use Web service to enhance a Web application.
  • Deploy an ASP.NET application to a production Web server.

Project Work

Participants are required to do a project work as a part of the program. Project works should be in accordance with the project specifications provided by ICT Academy in consultation with the industry. The project work should be done in groups, with 4 or 5 participants in a group.
