ICT Academy, receives the National Excellence Award 2018 from Dr.Satya Pal Singh, Honorable Minister of State for HRD, Government of India, for emerging as a Unique and innovative Social Enterprise of India for enhancing employability and entrepreneurship ecosystem for the students.

The award was given during the National Higher education summit organized by MHRD and ASSOCHAM. On receiving the award Mr. M Sivakumar, CEO ICT Academy said “Since our inception, our constant strive has been to skill the country’s student pool. We intend to replicate our immensely successful model of bridging skill gaps, across India and across verticals. I thank the organizers for the recognition bestowed on our service. We hope to make a lasting difference in the lives of many more students and catapult our youth to greater heights”

ICT Academy is conferred with the National Excellence Awards 2018 for its noteworthy contribution to the country’s employabity and entrepreneurship ecosystem, through its scalable, collaborative and innovative approach.

Since its inception in 2009, ICT Academy has been engaged in the service of synchronizing the educational institutions of the country to contemporary demands of industry through various faculty development and student skill development programs. ICT Academy has trained around 30,000 faculty members across India which benefitted several lakhs of students in enhancing their skills.

The ICT Academy was endorsed and recognized by NITI Aayog two years back as a best practice and model to be scaled across the country. Following the recommendation, ICT Academy has now reached across India and currently services more than 1500 institutions across India with 750 member institutions and 45 Nodal universities. The initiatives are partnered by leading industry majors including Cognizant, TCS, Hexaware, DELL EMC, Intel, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Oracle, IBM, Vmware, Salesforce, NI, Nvidia, K7 Computing, Syntel, Autodesk etc., ICT Academy operates in a collaborative model of partnering industry associations including NASSCOM, FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM and TIE.

Its model of enabling skills of the students in tier II and tier III region colleges has particularly added to its laurel. With the mutual efforts of industry partners and academic stakeholders, ICT Academy has built a unique ecosystem in the education industry.
