ICTACT has partnered VMware and announced that ICTACT has become a VMware Regional IT Academy in India. Through this partnership, during the current academic year 2015-16, ICTACT will assist 100 Higher Education colleges in South India to become IT Academies and train students & teachers on various VMware Academic programs.

The VMware IT Academy Program is designed to introduce teachers and students to VMware technologies and equip them with VMware technical skills to compliment their chosen fields of study. VMware will provide selected academic institutions with course materials developed by VMware for this purpose through ICTACT, the regional IT Academy. By instituting this program, VMware seeks to create a collaborative relationship with academic institutions across India through ICTACT, ICTACT will serve an important role in supporting VMware to expand the IT Academy program in India.

The partnership was inaugurated today at ICTACT Chennai with the agreement signed By Mr.Sivakumar , CEO , ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu and Mr. Rajesh Nambiar Regional Program Manager, VMWare.
